Default Crap... RX pack question

Okay so I accidentally flooded my engine and from there things today with my buggy have gone downhill. I accidentally plugged the RX pack in backwards and within a few seconds it got VERY hot so I quickly unplugged it. My question is, do you all think it did any damage to my RX and servos and is it safe to ever use this pack again?

Yes, it should be fine if its a NiCd or NiMh pack. Usually though, the shrink wrap around the terminals can melt off, so insulate the pack as needed. If all the other electronics work, then they're most likely fine.

Alright, well it's a NiMh pack so I guess I should be fine.. I was so scared that I burned the shit out of my new car's electronics and I was thinking.. great, there goes another $200...

You just have to make sure the connectors or wires are damaged or have open insulation. This will cause issues down the road.

The only thing that melted was the shrink wrap and I will try to get another thing of shrink wrap sometime to redo it.. For now I'm putting it on the charger and running my AAs..
