Just remember that the West Coast and Region 12 hosted all 3 off road events in '08.

Am I correct that 'Fuel Off Road Nationals' is for 1/8th Buggy and 1/8th Truggy?

Yep. They ash-canned 1/10th Gas Truck and Production Monster Truck (my two favorite classes...) and "re-combined" 1/8th Buggy and 1/8th Truggy into a single event. The reasoning was that enough folks race both buggy and truggy (and presumably NOT Gas Truck or Production MT...) that "re-combining" the 1/8th fuel off road events would save them time and money. Not like I'll ever participate in a ROAR national (other than watching one when they're back on the west coast), but I still liked seeing GT and Production MT get ROAR recognition. Oh well...

Dawn,

Will there be any Roar events next year to race 1/8th off-road electric?

Best regards,

Best regards,

It's so close... I can smell the Ozone. I bet 2010 will see a huge spike in electric 1/8th.

So is the plan to flip flop years from east to west?

I'm all for moving things around, just not sure "all"the event should be on one side or the other. Be nice if each national moves across the country... west, central, east, back to west and so on.

ROAR didnt ditch the class....Racers did.

Its hard to continue to Crown a National Champion for a class the RACERS have abandoned. Its a great class. Easy on the wallet, fun to drive....but it needs to be supported by the membership at all major events, not just ROAR Nats.

RCProSeries and others have seen the same decline happen in their events as well.
