Default 3PK/Fasst??

Just wondering if anyone has been brave enough yet to remove the antenna from the module and mount it in the factory antenna hole on the 3PK like everyone has been doing on the M8/M11 with Spektrum module?? I recently bought a new 3PK/Fasst system and have been thinking about trying it, but just wondered if anyone new if it was possible before I open up the radio and module...

It IS possible, as I've seen a few 3pks with the antenna mod, but I wont do mine untill the warranty is up.

I can see why the M8/M11 people do that conversion because their module antenna sticks out the side. The Futaba's, however, sticks straight up just like the original one so I just removed the FM antenna, plugged the hole and have the module's antenna sticking up.

I don't really see any overwhelming reason to make that conversion. What would I gain? Oh yes, the inability to use any of the PCM, HRS or PPM receivers I have in other vehicles.

Are there any pics or info with this mod? I was thinking about doing it, but not 100% yet. Main reason being, because in my Futaba case the Fasst antenna is pushing the foam up into the other pocket, but i don't want to cut the foam.
