sorry to do this

Hey guys,

want some advice im completely torn between two engines for a replacement in my mbx6

now these are the only 3 im considering after running some others, i dont normally ask these questions but id like other peoples info on them

rb ws7 3 l2g
os v spec/speed
Team orion crf

the only downside to the speed is the cost in the uk 280gbp!!!

What do you chaps think, im after run time reliability life span and ease of tuning.

I have yet to run the Orion but hear many good things from people who have and that will be my next engine .

i run the speeds, and grp, the grp was just a little soft, i havent tried the crf yet, i dont know how well they are or how long they will be around, they really havent caught on around here, i sell the speeds on here for 400.00 shipping would be a little more for the uk, if you are interested pm me

Hands Down! The OS

Hara won the worlds with the OS Speed.

Speed -- Alot of people run them with very few complaints.

t0adman 09-24-2008 09:33 AM

Provided the OS Speed doesn't suffer from the same bearing issues the early V-Specs did then I don't think you can go wrong with it. I've run the older and newer versions of the V-Spec and love them both. I can only image how much a$$ the Speed kicks.

Hara won worlds with a V spec not a speed. depending on the track i would go with either a VZB V-spec or a OS Speed, if your track is blue groove and more open track go with the Speed, If your track very tight with lots of corners and is loose go with the VzB Vspec.

cjm1126 09-24-2008 09:43 AM

you must not have looked at the pics, he was running a speed

revo61 09-24-2008 09:47 AM

Yep, he was running the aluminum head Speed.

RB anyway all day.

Ive got a ws7 turbo l2g, its a monster, plain and simple. I jsut bought a C6 BB too... not sure why yet, but I did! Anyways looks like you're going to end up with an O.S.

jpalessi 09-24-2008 09:58 AM

I heard it was a regular V spec with a lightened Speed Head :sneaky:

cjm1126 09-24-2008 10:04 AM

on a looser track the speed would be better also, because its smoother, there isnt really a situation were the speed wouldnt be good unless its out of your budget

i wouldnt say that so easily i have had 2 os engines previously,

standard v spec - bearings blew after 3 gallons

os speed - never ran right from the start was acknowledged to have a problem but os refused to warranty it ,

on the other hand i have seen them run at the track and they are very good motors but i just wanted a overall opinion on the others
