I think lightening the unspring weight will do alot more to smooth out rough
tracks than any big bore shocks can. Using a lighter wheel/tire combo will take alot of the choppy-ness out of your suspension on rough tracks. I did not know that a r/c off road 1/8th scale buggy shocks got hot. I know my
Honda CR250 motocrosser's rear mono shock gets alittle warm after a while. Next time I'm at the track I will temp my mbx5r's shocks.

You can believe what you want to believe..They did make a HUGE difference on my converted ST-R..the shocks were the last thing I needed to finish making it an ST-RR and i did race it using the 13mm shocks..when I went to the 16mm big bores my lap times did improve because the truggy handled the rough stuff so much better..even if it's "just in my mind" I did improve my lap times by almost 3 seconds a lap..so just remember..it's all hype and you dont need the bigger shocks especially if you race on blown out tracks with super cross type of jumps or at any track that i race at..just ask me..nope dont need em..
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
