Default noob ? what way put back in piston?

well striped my engine down and i am 99.9% sure the longer side/skir ton the piston faces to exhasut port could som just verify this r tell me im thick, engine novarossi p5xs.

That is correct, if you put it the other way the piston skirt will hit the flywheel counter weight.
