Throttle Servo Recommendation for an RC8
I noticed the other day that my Throttle Servo is vibrating a bit. Is this an indication that there's a problem brewing? It's one that came with my Spektrum DX3 Radio. Any recommendations on a good Throttle Servo as a replacement? I have a really nice HiTech Stearing Servo in the buggy.

or http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/6000 I'm using the futaba right now and am really happy with it |
JR 8717, or 9100s. The 8717 has a bit more torque.

I just put in JR 9100Ss for both steering and throttle and I LOVE THEM. I agree with largeorangefont though - my buddy has the 8717s for both and they're just as nice.

I'd go with whatever servo's you can get locally with at least 125in/oz of torque and nothing slower than a 0.12 for speed.
I am running Futaba servo's and the only servo's I would go back to are the Ace servo's which you can get with an Associated badge on them as well. |

ACE DS1313 = AE DS1313
and ACE DS1015 = AE DS1015 I believe. Same specs anyway. |

The only difference I can find is the stcker and the price tag I have been running ACE servos in my MBX5R for about a year and I race about every weekend somewhere. I am also not easy on the steer servo (saver cranked down pretty tight). I have never had problem with the ACE's, still smooth and strong. |

I don't want to steal the thread, but I need some advice from experienced racers. I use JR servos and they're very durable. However, which servo do you use for steering and throttle ? Do you use the "torque" servo for the steering or the throttle ? Same question for the "speed" servo.

When i purchase my RC8 in a couple of weeks i'm going to use an Airtronics 94360 for my throttle and brake and a 94359 for my steering. This is also the same set up I run in my MBX5T truggy for the exception my throttle servo is a 94361.

I think of it like an engine in a truck pulling things about. The more torque in the engine the less you need to strain it to pull things around. Try and pull trailers around by a car with a 1600 engine and that engine is going to be strained and won't last very long... |
thanks guys....
