Is anyone running the HotBodies DB filter? I just got one to try? It seems like a solid design for low profile filters. If you have one, how do you like it, and are the replacements expensive?

the only replacement filters that are not that expensive i have found are surprisingly RB ones.
I got one RB filter and one kfactory (got it because of the water cover thats is sometimes needed in truggy) both I use with RB foams. both fit ok with ofna S-elbow in D8

for practice at dusty track i use outerwears cover as extra protection.
for racing i just replace filters quite often.

i do not clean filters as small dust particles might stay in

ya basically enough to get a decent overlap so it does not come apart.

i never noticed any real significant difference from the full wrap.......just when trying to suck through 2+ layer's it felt quite restrictive....so fwiw the 1 layer is all i use now.

my question was, are these just the blue shop paper towels like you find at wal mart, or is it a specific kind, and how much to wrap with

Kimberly towel's....i like the roll's over the box's.

as per how much....like i was saying earlier....just 1 layer with enough overlap to make it easy to install the bands.
