My input is that I raced head to head last week with some of the best racers in the world with the most expensive engines, and held my own.

I ran a 5 port turbo.

I have about 1.5 gallons through a 5 port GO and am very happy with it's performance to this point. A friend of mine just popped his GO, same engine, with about 3 gallons through it- though I don't think he knows what happened as of yet.

I run the dynamite 086 on mine, and it does a fantastic job against the OS speeds that I have come across. Though I'm still not getting the run time that I would like out of a tank.

Nitro motors are strange beasts. I think you can name just about any manufacture out there and at least 10 people will tell you that they had nothing but problems with that motor. I had 2 nova's before this and had trouble with both of them. Would I say nova is bad? Definitely not, because I see other people having great luck with them. I was hesitant to buy a GO, but I figured I wasn't out a ton of money if I ended up having problems with it. If it gets me through the rest of this season, I got more than my money's worth.

+1 for Go engines. I'm running the 3 port r in my 8ight and it does a fantastic job. Granted it is modded by PTM but all the other GO engines here in columbus that I have ran against have been stock to my knowledge and they are lightning fast as well.

First of all, have you ever ran any other motor? If this will be your first, then I'd say go ahead I tested my friend's 5 port (std plug) and I can say it feels very consistent and smooth power delivery. I'm running a Nova P5X, and it certainly isn't as powerful, but I wouldn't hesitate to get a GO.

The reason why I haven't got one (intend to bash with it) is I've read they're (GO) are having problem with their carbs. Most people change it to carbs from Nova or RB (pls correct me if I'm wrong).

There's another thread for the GO engines. Check it out, cheers ~

to be honest, the carb problems are fixed. I have a 3prt R and it screams. My engine will just sit there an pur and comes to life whenever I need it.

The GO thread has invaluable advice and I would not hesitate to get one.

I had a GO 5 port turbo, had to put a nova rossi carb on it to get it to run right.

If you do buy a Go, it sure helps to buy one from a dealer that can help you with tuning and break in. There are some out there that simply sell them but are not much help. Brian (Ptm) and myself have probably run almost every engine Go makes and can tune them over the phone while cooking supper. lol!
