put about 3 litres through this engine on my buggy but for some reason for the past week it seems to choke and want to die when applying full throttle (or anything over 2/3). figured it was too rich so leaned it out but it got worse. therefore richened it but still doing it. friend says it's probably an air leak but i haven't got a clue about where to start in terms of taking the carb off etc. any tips? cheers

Sounds too lean on the HSN.... richen it up some more and try again... If not seal the base of the carby in the case and around the pinch bolt... Although i've not heard of Vspec's leaking to often?

Richen the LSN first and make sure the P3 glowplug is good.

Richen it up a little more and change the plug. You probably damaged the plug when you ran too lean.
