Default RC Fuel Availability and Price Gouging

I have been hearing all sorts of stories about wildly varying RC fuel prices from one hobby shop to the next, and fuel shortages taking weeks to fill. So, I thought it would be interesting to see just exactly how much these prices are varying.

Please feel free to post what you are paying for your favorite blend or blends of RC fuel, and also is your local shop keeping good stock.

Example;

Byron Gen2 20% (Race Blend) $24.99/gallon
O'Donnel 20% (Race Blend) $27.99/gallon

Well, I no longer have a local hobby shop but fortunately good ole CWhit hooked me up with a case of 30% Byrons for about 27 a gallon if I remember correct.

At my shop we got a fax last week from Morgan Fuels saying their costs of production have gone up 96%. We've also heard that some companies won't be making 30% and 20% will be on back order for weeks. So I guess we will see what happens in the next couple weeks.

My lhs was selling the Sidewinder 30% Pro Blend and the 30% Worlds blend for $20.99 when it was being made. They do stock the 30% ColdFusion fuel for $21.50/gl. As of yesterday they had plenty in stock, and getting more is only a phone call away. Per Vernon with Cold Fusion the next batch the price will go up SLIGHTLY due to the cost of Nitro.

Amain might have some left. The only problem is that shipping has gone way up too.

I dont know if this will affect the RC fuel but a few weeks ago the NHRA was saying that there is a shortage of Nitro and has banned testing at events in the Nitro classes untill the supply comes back up.

There is a thread around here somewhere all about that. It was all the talk a couple weeks back.

I paid $35 for a gallon of O'donnell 30% at a local HobbyTown yesterday. It was painful....
