Default O.S. TZ with a 10e

Anyone know if I need an adapter sleeve to put the 10e carb on the TZ? Thanks.

Any sugestions on what I should do then? I could go ahead and make one but I usually like to leave it to the people that know what they are doing =D I heard of people useing the 12e carb. Is that any better?

I want to use a smaller carb. I cant find anyone that sells restrictors and I heard of people using the 10e carb or 12e carb on the TZ. TZ has too much power for 1/10th scale off road.

i wanted to do the same but after talking to someone who had a alum adapt. made the motor ran lean on the bottom no matter what he did. i just dont think that little carb could give enough fuel on the bottom. i turned the epa down from 110 to 80 = meaning im not running at wide open, put the ae smoothy pipe on with .8 clutch springs and 20% fuel. been doing gas truck for a long time and ive never had one this fast or smooth. 200 deg will make you smile

Do it. We used to run the 10e carb on the Novarossi .12s when they first came out. They ran awesome that way. We used the Titan Tech sleeve back then. The sleeve needs to be made so that it needs to be pressed it onto the carb or it will leak. That is probably why the the guy above could not get it to work.

the tz carb has a odd sized neck or throat whatever it is called the lunsford adapter is not big enough to work it would be something that needs to be custome made it is easier to just put a larger clutchbell or a weighted clutch that is what i do and it takes away some of the grunt that the motor has but in my opinion it is not the best engine for offroad racing i just got an os tg i am going to give a try they seem to be pretty smooth and should be a lot easier to drive for me anyway

I asked the same question on the ask Jared Tebo thread on neobuggy. I was told to use the blue os v-spec restrictor. Its cheap and easy to do. All you do is cut off from the bottom of the restrictor to the lower o-ring seal. You have to remove this section to allow it to fit in the crankcase without hitting the crankshaft. Next after making sure you removed any excess plastic you have to press the restrictor onto your carb, Make sure it is fully pressed on so there isnt any air leaks. Then place it on your motor and you are all set. I did this a month ago and it really helped the drivability of my GT2 with the smaller 10E carb.

Hope I helped
