Ultimate products VS Dubro (Wheel balancers)
I know there are a couple of threads that hover around this question but no one has compared the two main types/most common wheel balancers it would seem and i want to be sure i get the best balance i can out of my wheels .. So any info by people that know or have used both would be apreciated before i purchase mine
To my way of thinking the Dubro style ones would proberbly be more acurate as i think they would have less friction and im guessing being a prop balancer it would have to be fairly spot on?.. Can any one comment on either of the two as i can only go of pictures .. Are the two wheel things on each side of the Dubro balancer on bearings?
I wish to use the balancer for 1/8th Buggy and Truggy
Thanks
Dave

I use a Robart high point balancer. I use it on my helis, but it also works great on wheels. If you can find one, it's the way to go. But the Dubro is a cheaper version, and works just fine.

Anything that will get it close is all you need. They don't have to be spot on perfect. An old rear hub, with semi good bearings works wonderful.
Different story when you start talking balancing airplane props and heli paddles.

well seems the Dubro is more popular... I was thinking of making my own but when your going to the effort of balancing a wheel it might as well be done as best it can be i belive

Use Teamcobra tyres and wheels they don't need balancing.
