Default Favorite LOSI 8 and 8T SETUP !!!!????

Without me scrolling through 10,000 posts in the threads I was wondering what alot of guys like for setup on these cars ?

For buggy the "stable easy to drive " setup is so far my best .........considering my beginner to intermediate skill level .

For the truck I have just been running it right out of the box and that feels real good .

Just wondering your guys thoughts on the setups posted on the Losi site by some of these pro drivers ? Drakes truck setup ? Truhe's Dirt nitro challenge buggy and truggy ? Drakes NEO 07 and 08 buggy? Thanks for your replies .

My experience has been that people who are still getting their skills in order will just be dissapointed by the setups many of the pro drivers run. These are mainly extremely aggresive setups that take a lot of finesse to really turn a fast lap. I tried drakes neo setup on my buggy and liked it however I did tweak a few things to make it a little less twitchy. The 8ight comes with an awesome manual for fine tuning the setup. Just find out if you are lacking anywhere and remember to only change one thing at a time. Hope this helps.

Yes, Cman, you're current set up is near mine. Recently, I've found that the blue clutch shoes wear better with the carbon than the longwear shoes do. I like the new Losi rubber shielded clutch bearings. I just keep them oiled once per race day. I've got a month of racing on one set right now. Just thought I'd share some recent discoveries.

I've raced at 8 (no pun intended) different tracks since I bought my car...and the stock setup worked great at all of them.

Well, except for tires and that kind of stuff.
