Mugen MBX5 torsen diff
I just got a Mugen MBX5 "Torsen" diff off ebay
Just wandering what people run in them?
It came with grease in it.
Should I leave the grease in it or clean it out and fill it with oil?
Just wandering...
Don't know jack about torsen diffs...

Is it really worth it to use torsen diff ?
I heard torsen diff is not suitable for rough & loose track.

It depends on your driving style, but they don't lend themselves to extremely bumpy tracks. A Torsen diff is a torque sensing diff that will bias torque to the wheels that have traction. The above info is correct, they only need to be greased, not filled with fluid.
I never really liked how they made the car drive, and they felt kind of unforgiving in the loose or if you got off line. Thats not to say they are bad, they just aren't for me.

If it is a center torsen only your car is going to push on power really badly unless you have a front torsen to go with it. It more or less balances your brake bias perfectly so you have to be careful when braking. If it is a front torsen only you will have a lot of on power steering and a lot of off power. The biggest problem with center torsens is if the car hits a bump it will take off really fast whichever way it is pointed when it lands.
