Default Ofna Truggy Box Mod

Im working on a mod right know for my Ofna truggy box. Im doing mine soley for the sake that I won't have to open the starterbox lid to charge my batteries(2 stickpacks). I have already flush mounted 2 pairs of the female banana clip recepticles and Im curious how to wire them into the stick packs. My thought is to tap into each of the stickpack wires before the tamiya connectors. But with the stickpacks already connected to the motors in series, will I damage the motors when I charge the batteries?
