New Revised V Spec...
Hi I just got a new V spec and have noticed it has a revised carby.
I don't know what else is different and wondering how long has this revised version has been out.. I think the running in is different according to the instructions as well.

The revised carby is a 21 J as the older version is the 21 C.
The main difference being that it is all one piece.
The 21 J has a pressed fitting for the fuel inlet. The idle screw is different as well.
I have herd that old version break off the inlet side of the carby when you re postioned the fuel nipple. Due to the press fit. I think that is all they did to it. I will be replacing the bearings as I don't trust them.

Sorry don't have my cammera here. The block is different too and you can really see it when compared to a older version.
I bought a v spec when they first came out and on its 8 ltr it blew the block out under the con rod the seize of your small finger nail. It was sent back to OS in Japan and i was told it was my fault. They clamied that it sucked some dirt in. Sold the piston and liner and is still going . Gee i must have dusted it bad.
Good to see they have done somthing about it. The V Spec to me is one of the best or the best club racing motors out. Good to see a slightly better version...

classic response to a returned motor it sucked in dirt, exactly what they said to me after my orig vzb went bad and she was clean

I feel your pain . It took me 2 yrs to return back to a OS.
I really look after my equipment and to be told that when i could prove that there was no dirt and good fuel/oil used is just bullshit.
Well they do have a good product so I just had to get over I lost a weeks wage. That is why my current V spec has better bearings from new. I have done about 10 ltrs on it know so I thought I should replace the rod.
I have just bought a new V spec and noticed the changes. Im sill going to replace the bearings as I dont trust OS quality with them.
