if it has the metal carb , get rid of it and put a good novarossi carb one on it ! the metal carbs that come with the bf engines leak horribly . needles should be closer to 3-3 1/2 hsn, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 lsn , idle open 1-1.5mm, 8mm restrictor . pm me if you need a carb , i have about 30 of em .

just get a normal P5 rod or put a R6, R6 lightweight, or a R7 rod in it.

most places online sell rods (R4) for 54.95 $ and up plus shipping  pm me and tell me a little about yourself , where you race, what you race , how you finish in the competition why you need a new rod and all that jazz and i will see what i can do for ya bro .

MAN these engines rip. It still baffles me that these three ports perform as well as they do. Mine is stock, unmodded, going on 5 gallons, and I just replaced the con-rod. This bugger will always be in my arsenal I think. It tunes well, idles well, and flat works in my 8ight.
