HELLFIRE ENGINE CHOICE??????

I RECENTLY PICKED UP A HELLFIRE ROLLER AND I AM NEEDING SOME INPUT ON AN ENGINE. IT WILL BE RAN ON A SUPERMOTO STYLE TRACK (HALF ASPHALT HALF DIRT WITH MINIMAL JUMPS) TOP SPEED IS CRITICAL. ANY ADVICE?????

LRP .28
Picco .28
The RB engines are good as well as the Mugen ninjas

I got a picco P3 with about 14 tanks through it with pinch still so tight it still gets stuck on TDC and also a NEW piston and sleeve so if you ever need to rebuild it for 135.00! If not then I would get the GO .21 5-port

it has more bottom bunch than a v spec but is still not out of control power, it will hang with just about anything on the track, it lacks power nowhere, and runtimes are awesome. it's a pissed off .21 basicley:nod: more punch than a .21 and more top end, i use a 086 and GO 0801 pipe and it rocks.

Im pretty sure the LRP would beat it... and the LRP is cheaper ;)

Cory, the LRP is a sport motor. Not a race motor. Yeah it makes great power but how many time have you said yourself its almost undriveable. Race motors make great power, but it is driveable power. The power band is much smoother, plus there are other benefits as well.

faster:ha: the lrp is a good motor, but it's a hog, if i was racing with this truggy i would much rather run 9 to 10 min and have a motor thats as fast as anything else or faster, but still be able to control it high bite or loose track condtions.

he said top speed was critical... the LRP produces a very high top speed, and spins the wheels all the way there!

and remember, Ive got a very "heavy" trigger finger, I like flooring it WOT for 30 seconds at a time. Im sure if you feathered it, the LRP would be a nice race motor. I dont know, I dont race so I wouldnt know.

the GO .25 is crazy, awesome bottom, awesome top, awesome run time, my uncle races it on his Hyper ST Pro and loves it

There is another racer with the LRP .28, but it's totally uncontrollable, I would not recommend it for racing.

spinning tires in the racing scene is the worse thing...
