Like I said, take off the wing and body and add weight and go racing.

The weight of a wing is negligible compared to that 7.5 pound car if thats what you are saying ~3% assuming a wing is ~100grams (bit on higher side). I can't feel the weight of the fuel between when the cars almost empty and cars full (full tanks around 100grams assuming pure methanol 125cc).

Wing and body.... but ya still not alot of added weight there.
Intersting idea tho- take off the body/wing, but add weight. Ill have to try that!

youre nuts if you dont think the weight of a big plastic wing being that far over the CG of the car heighth wise doesnt play a huge factor in handling characteristics . i want to switch to the new lexan wing but i love the look of a colored wing

haha yeah but the effect of downforce is way more than the weight. I wont last 2 laps with that lexan I destroy the plastics every two races weekends .

+1

I noticed a difference (with the lexan Trifecta Wing) in handling the tight twisty sections (where there isnt much speed required) yet the car seems more planted and reactive in the rear end than with the Plastic Wing. This is on both my MP9 and MP9e. It makes a noticable difference. It may seem negligable yet I can tell, and the rear is not as quick to break loose it seems, and that it reacts quicker to brake and throttle inputs in flight (may or may not be the aerodynamic effects of the wing) yet I am pleased with it.

Just take a 4wd 1/10 car remove the lexan wing and install one of those plastic wings (I think Academy had one for their 4wd car) - I am sure it would be even more noticable, where the heft and weight of a 1/8 chassis is not as extreme.

I for one like it and run a softer sway bar now in the rear.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I want to try the regular plastic mold trifecta wing. Its got a lower deck height which is nice.
