I've been keeping an Ofna shim kit in my pit box for years. Every nitro guy should! I've never had to use the crank extender but its good to hear they work well. VZB vspecs don't seem to need it.

ive only had to use it on my kyosho flywheel clutch setup. i run alphas and all alphas that i have have the same crank in them so its not the crank. its like 1mm to short with the kyosho setup. but the shim kit is very handy to have in bag of options

I just use the clutch shoe shims if the crank is too short

you could try the ghea or AE 8x1.3 taper pistons instead.

Just been trying to assemble the steering rack and finding that the top metal brace is a tight fit. Is it meant to be this tight, or am I getting this wrong somehow? Once this is done, I need to do is fit the engine and electrics and we should be ready to run!

AE 8-1.3's work well. The are a little tight to fit on the shock shaft, but work if no Kyosho pistons are available. I ran them for about 3 months

Why not just get the 1.2x8 hole Kyosho pistons and drill them to 1.3? IF347-128
