I reduced mine to 99mm front / 118mm rear and it was slipping and sliding.
Did you redo your ride height after reducing the droop. If not, then that is the reason for the sliding.

I didn't really notice any huge changes from the stock tki3 in the cars that were run at the Worlds. Maybe a few tuning options here and there to get the car working on a tack that is do different from most other tracks, but that's about it. Unless someone has some other insights...

So even if a tki4 comes out soon, I can't imagine it being that different from the tki2 or tki3. So drop the hammer already and take your driving to a whole new level. Trust me, I know, I came from a Losi 8ight 2.0 to a Mugen mbx6R, and now Kyosho, and I love driving this thing.

I can't say for sure if the BUKU fits (I think it does) but I'm running a 34mm Losi 8ight setup without issue.

Yes It will fit -- you will just flame out when you land.

MP9 needs a 32mm clutch. I suppose you could lift your motor up 1mm with some shims...

Simply put no. More complicated answer - no. In all honesty, I haven't heard anything about it. If it was me, I wouldn't put off buying a TKI3 for fear of having an "out of date" car in 3 months. It's what I'll be running at DNC 2013.

Cody's MP9 was exactly the same component-wise to the buggy he normally runs here. Same car everyone can buy and add titanium screws and HA balls to.

I think the stripped spring look is pretty cool . The process took more effort than expected but worth it for the added visual aesthetic. They were orange springs if inquiring minds wanted to know.

Happy new year Sean! So Cody didn't try the 16 deg carriers or the unsprung weights? Any news about the upgrade parts and how they performed? I'm thinking of only getting the hard rear arms and not much else at this point. I'm curious about the weights and 16deg carriers though.

For those of you looking to replace worn out drive-pins instead of buying new universals, I put together a quick little tech-tip video on how to do this:

Thanks man, that's helpful! Now here's a link to my video of my TKI3 using a 34mm clutch without flaming out on landings...http://youtu.be/oHg5SJYRHA0

Just messing with you man. Seriously though, great video.
