Changed my shoes at 5 gallons just the other day. I could still use those shoes by shaving down the burs. But I decided to go new. I am going to use those in a back up motor. Quality stuff.

Those clutch tools definitely make installation and removal of clutch shoes and springs a heap easier than using a screwdriver. And a million times faster, too.

Until about a year ago, when I managed to find one of these style clutch tools built entirely from alloy, rather than plastic, which most brands use, I think I went through maybe 1/2 dozen of the plastic tools of various brands, always cracking the tool at the point of highest load. Found the all alloy version on ebay and never looked back.

But even the plastic version is still a lot more convenient than using a screw driver or pliers.

I've used that as the only mount since I've had my tki3. No issues. At the fear farm track the few locals with kyo biggies were having trouble with spur/bell. They solved this with extended mounts

I can't say anything bad about the kyosho, its the best buggy that I have ever drove. I came from losi. And I will never look back. I am still on the kit bearings in the clutch, this buggy is amazing. On my home track with the losi, most of the time i was 3-4 laps down,I was never able to stay on the lead lap, with the tki3, I am able to stay on the lead lap with the book setup.

my TKI3 that I just finished building has a binding front suspension. Is this normal for this car?

No it's not. Make sure you didn't tighten the hinge pin holders too tight or they will bind the arms. Without shocks, your arms should freely move without any binding.

Aaron, is the one you have made my ProTek? I too have gone through about half dozen of those plastic versions and I've actually been looking for almost a year for that alloy version. Amainhobbies use to carry it, but not any longer? May have had something to do with the patent?

I got one recently. Will report back once it's installed and I've had a chance to give it a try.
