more forward drive without effecting the corner entrance speed or mid to exit ability , launches harder when on throttle , less front wheel spin , better mileage , imo it just feels better with less throttle input

anyone here anything is they will have any new kit for the worlds or is it save to buy a TKI3 thanks James

I had this major issues where my rear tend to spin to left or right when I hit on the brake to turn. When I hit the throttle after aligning it on turn in the whole bug will move left and right and it's difficult to counter them back and make it point straight. I really need to slow down as in really really slow down to prevent that from happening. This make my run to be very slow. I know people been saying slow is fast but for my case, it is really slow and make me very busy and being an aggressive driver it gets me very irritated thus losing my focus.
Tire is not an issue as I know I'm using the right tire, just like the rest of the faster drivers who are using AKA.
I finally decided enough is enough. I think I've tried to get comfortable with her for months but she is not satisfying me enough
so time for me set some new rules!
Brought everything with me and pay for a dedicated pit guy. Nice to have someone who are focus on watching your driving and hear their opinion after that and you can double check against what you actually think/feel when you are driving.
First is to solve the front. I've been so busy trying to get the bug to go straight on turn in when I throttle. I know I'm losing a lot of seconds with that. The after effect of it is that I will end up not having enough time to set my lady for the humps... err I mean jump or whatever challenges that come next.
Run a few rounds and after much discussion, we decided to move the front shock to the outer most hole on the shock tower to give it faster steering and immediately I can see the effect of it. I can see she will try to turn left or right very slightly but than go straight without needing me to counter it back much. It was much easier for me to drive and give me the confident to punch on my throttle knowing she will go straight.
Previously I'm too busy trying to counter them that its too late for me to focus on my throttling/braking for jump and I end up coming in too hot or to slow both usually do not end well. Now I can full throttle, give it a bit of brake or just finger off the throttle and control my punch to clear the jump and not be on the air longer than needed.
Next, time to focus on her rear. The issue - She like to struggle on the rear when I try to go in, i mean turn in. I have this 3 choices to make. Change the rear spring to a softer one (from light blue to yellow), change my diff from 3 to 2 or move to the outer hole. Decided to go with changing the spring first. Put her on the track and man, the effect was obvious! Her rear does not turn right or left abruptly when I brake. Unless I'm coming in way too fast but this can be easily solve as now I have more time to control my throttling and braking. But one issue I see is that she get slightly sluggish. So will be doing more testing later to see if I can get her to be more comfortable
Did a quick fun race with the guys on the track and I can see good improvement in my driving, I'm more relax and confident, it is not easy for people to overtake me like it used to be and I even manage to chase and overtook 2 buggies. Of course this will not get me to A main yet but will definitely improve my standing. So can't wait for the next race to see the real results of this improvement. For now, its time for me to clean her up

Go Max caster in the front I.e hole in the bottom position on front hub.
Lay the rear shocks down one hole in the rear
go to 1.5 deg toe out in the front. 1.5 degrees camber front, 2.5 degrees in the rear.
and the rest of the setup as per standard king worlds.
If you find you still want more initial steering, then go down to 2K in the rear.

Hey bro,
Thanks for the tips. Right now I'm very happy with my bug but will give your recommendation a try if I can get another round of practice before the next month race.

Dr Strangelove by the sounds of what your buggy is doing and what you want to achieve I suggest changing the following.
Go Max caster in the front I.e hole in the bottom position on front hub.
Lay the rear shocks down one hole in the rear
go to 1.5 deg toe out in the front. 1.5 degrees camber front, 2.5 degrees in the rear.

I told him that like the snowflake, no two drivers are alike.
On an unrelated note, I HOPE I figured out my "brown out" issues. I essentially got a new radio system (radio/receiver/servos) and more importantly got new receiver batteries. I asked MaxAmps to build a 1700mAh receiver battery and it is AWESOME! I raced this weekend and experienced NO issues. Fingers crossed for this weekend at the Wicked Weekend in GA.

Houston Whats up Dude. I have a ??? about the CVDs. What are the pros to running them. And the maintance.

Hi, Has anyone used the TCD front differential?

Dont not run the CVDs in the front, they do not have the flexability of the Unis and break under full lock steering, ive broke two in the front and two in the back. i put the HD unis back it and no problems since. and i think the unis are a tick smoother too.
