I think the main reason is because that most of the setups online from Jared and Cody use the "normal" pistons instead. A fellow K-car driver at my track uses them [the tapered] and really likes 'em.

are you running 1.3 fr/rear because of a tebo king setup?

Yep, I am. Jared runs at my local track and was nice enough to share his setup there as a starting point for me as I just moved to the Kyosho car a few weeks ago.

Seems to be the case under normal conditions so I'm told.

Sorry, I worded that poorly. What I run are tapered, but I was referring to the SP tapered hole pistons which come with the TKI3 which I replaced.

All I really got from him was the shock set up, which was 45wt losi in front, 30wt losi in back using the 1.3x8 non-SP pistons all the way around. He did mention that a lot of people like to run heavier oil than he does as he has a certain feel to his cars that he prefers.

I suspect that his car may be lighter than mine as well due to the ti screws it appears he is using throughout. He did say that he runs a 48t spur with a larger than required spacer under the center diff mounts for extra clearance.

Just from looking at other settings on his car, it appears to me that it is very close to the setup online from the NEO 2011 race.

Thanks bro. I was just curious if he was running a similar setup to Cody because we don't see his setup sheets as often as we see Codys.
