I don't really get the quality complaints either. My practice car has 10 gallons on it and all i've had to swap out was the out drives. The kyosho ones wore a bit excessively on our track. I have heard that they are addressing this issue however. How many hot bodies D8s would it take to go 10 gallons? Only car at our club that lasts as long as the k-car is the updated JQ.

I also did wreck a few clutch bells -- once I drilled the hole in the chassis where the bell was hitting (TKI2 Chassis only issue) I was golden. This mod was free and since I've not had to replace a single bell.

As far as price ... the Yen is a very strong currency; I suspect that has a lot to do with it. Plus, the K-car is made in Japan not in China. Knowing that it wasn't produced in a sweat shop is worth it to me.

Guys I'm having an issue with my tki2 WC.. The front upper chassis stiffener between the steering studs and upper diff case. Its not sitting properly on the diff case. When I screw it down it creates a huge gap as seen in the picture. Is it just me or is this a horrible engineering design?

That's lame I can't post pictures.

are you running the 91mm universals in the rear? if so as stated numerous times check your outdrives. if they are worn that will cause breakage of the universals.
but to answer your direct question yes those will work for the tki2

yes i know it is common sense but i just didnt care as i was only breaking in a new motor, but do NOT continue to drive when you have a chipped tooth on your spur gear. it can create massive problems. this started out as 1 tooth missing on the spur and turned to this after about 12 tanks on the new motor lol

The problem is the lack of rear grip. I have adj a lot of steering out but is still a little loose in the back.

is the TKI 2 rear set up better in rear grip???

If so what do i need.

Rear shocks

Any help much appreciated .

Tki2 shock setup is much better. If you want to go that route you need the shorter rear shock tower and the medium length rear shocks. If you are going to get them also try to find the orange aprons. They are great on loose tracks. If it is way loose go yellow

the shocks and tower will not change the amount of "grip" the rear has , i would bet you have some inserts improperly installed or something of that nature . check your car against some pro setups or have a expert/pro level driver with some good smarts and setup ability look at the car to make sure everything is properly installed .

the only major difference in the tki2 wc is the offset rear hub carriers
