Driving style and traction conditions have a lot to do with this. Just use OFNA outdrives. Problem solved. Retail on the OFNA outdrives is dealer cost on the Kyosho ones, so they will save you a lot of money.

Blue is not for use with fine threads; you should really use purple. It is intended for fine thread applications. Since I started using purple I've never had a motor move.

Default OFNA OUTDRIVES?

What is the part # of the OFNA outdrives people are referring too? Also, is it direct fit or do you have to mod or shim it?

Hi Guys. Just FYI, Kyosho is addressing this. It's possible there is a batch of outdrives with less than satisfactory heat treating. I can assure you this has nothing to do with "cutting cost" etc. It costs just as much to heat treat the stuff wrong as it does right. Unfortunately this can occur from time to time, and getting it sorted out can be a little tricky. If it goes the other way and suddenly there is too much hardening, it causes other problems. It's a delicate matter. Kyosho has a lot of pride in delivering the highest quality items to the customers. As soon as I get some info that I can release publicly, I will do so...

We're going to 2012 Worlds to win it. This opportunity to step into the record books is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. I fully expect Cody to be on pace, and with a chance to do it. That's all you can ask for.

After driving a friends MP9 on sunday after racing I have just ordered a WC version which will need to come from Japan and wonder if I will get the one with harder outdrives..would be nice to I guess if they wear out early and there is a known problem I could claim a warranty?

Default MP9

Well just got my car built and to the track today. Track was nasty gnarly, loose, ruts everywhere, kickers from all the weather, perfect for testing.

Took me 3 tanks to get comfortable with the car. I thought Losi's had steering...OH NO! This car will turn inside of any car ive ever driven, off power, on power, at any speed. Very impressed at how flat it stays off of everything. Great car!

Disappointed in the chassis anodize though. Car looks like it has 4 gallons on it. Which whatever, I am on my wheels not my lid, but still.

Well time to start cleaning up the losi for quick sell! MUHAHAHAHA

Glad you like it . First thing I noticed as well was the steering, and it goes where you want it to go. and it jumps really flat as well.
Also it doesnt get out of shape easily and rides the bumps very well...very easy to drive and within a couple of laps I felt comfortable with it and it wasnt even mine..so I ordered one...cant wait for it to arrive now

The MP9 is a great buggy but too many revisions (and I owned them all)
MP9 TKI
MP9 SE
MP9 TKI2
MP9 TKI2 WC
Will Kyosho take this platform to the 2012 worlds?
The MP10 should be out for 2012 if the follow the plan as in the 7.5 and 777(4 years and 2 WC each).

Kyosho is about evolution revising and making the proven MP9 platform better and better every year. I hope Kyosho doesn't come out with a totally new car for a good 5 more years just keep revising and making changes and it will be the perfect buggy, just look at ALL the changes from the original TKI to the TKI2.

I will not put a Jammin part on my Kyosho.
