End of rant.
I am not a good driver by any means, I enjoy the hobby and know for a fact, that with a properly setup car, you fight the traffic and track and not worry about the car. There are many, many pages out there explaining setup's or you can just ask here, tells us what your car is doing that you don't like, and someone will explain how to correct it.
Agree .Certain setups gonna work on certain tracks. For example Cody's world setup might not going to be the "best" setup on an average small club track...Pro's setup might give a base ,but you will need to adjust to your track ....

Default Japan

I'm with Matthijs in the way I think of this, as it is heart wrenching to think of the things going on in Japan right now. It's hard to think about racing and stuff when you are more concerned with what is going on at the power plant. You have to remember that this is the same culture that endured the atomic bomb and recovered into the technology and industrial power house on the face of the earth. I have no doubt that they will bounce back even more resilient. Everyone I have talked to in Japan is very optimistic, and as you can see from the buggysport post, so is Kyosho Japan. The port they use is Yokohama, which was unaffected by the tsunami. Very fortunate! Also, they had a container enroute when all this happened. Also very fortunate. They also just received a container full of kits I think yesterday. So what does all this mean? ...basically, given the gravity of the tragic events that have unfolded in Japan, Kyosho America is in about as good a shape as you could expect. Very fortunate!

I have to honestly say that the top pros set-ups might not exactly fit everyone's driving style. I think Cody and Jared normally have the suspension set-up a little on the stiff side. The good news is, you can probably just soften the springs a little and it will be super dialed. The basic geometry of the chassis set-up (camber links, hub positions, etc.) should stay the same, as well as the diff fluids. That stuff translates over, but unless you are going full noodle into the lip of every jump, you may not need the stiffer suspension and it might be harder to drive. Softer with more traction might suit some intermediate level guys.

Thank you
I have the fioroni chassis on my buggy. It looks great. And is a little lighter than the tki. I tried the lic drive shafts fr, rr, and center and decided to go back to the stock steel after breaking twice. They would probable be great for oval or tracks with smaller jumps. Hey are extrememly light though!

Received some bits in the mail today & just been checking the weights of the new 91mm captured universal shafts IFW419 & the original 91mm universals IFW456 & as they are supplied, the new unis are heavier by about 0.6g, 23.77 vs 23.16g. If the brown cap/tube thingy is removed & tiny 1.5mm grub screw is used instead, as per just about every other brand on the market, the new IFW419 is lighter by 0.55g, 23.62g vs 23.17g (obviously my $7 ebay 0.01g scales are not quite Swiss watch accurate but they're more than sufficient for my needs).

So my question is: what's the point of having those brown tubes on the axle instead of a tiny grub screw like it's usually done? The brown tube is 1.23g vs 0.07g for a 1.5mm grub screw. Even if there were 2 grub screws per driveshaft, installing 1 on each side of the centre cross-shaft, the tubes are still around 10-20x heavier. The larger front/rear centre uni-shaft brown tube things are more than double the weight of the wheel driveshaft tubes at 2.49g vs 1.23g. With Kyosho always saying how light & efficient the MP9 drivetrain is & how easily it spins up, doesn't it make more sense to run grub screws? I've already put the screws in mine & taken off the tubes. Over the whole car it's less than 0.5g for 6 grub screws vs about 15g for 6 tubes.

So the brown/red/blue tube thingies can't really be all that much more secure than running a grub screw (or even 2 grub screws, just to be safe) can they? Or is it mostly for looks & bling? I realise that with the tube there is no possibility of the cross-shaft coming out, but surely 2 grub screws per shaft would have to accomplish the same? Am I missing something here?
