There really aren't any. If you get a team kit it isn't like a Losi/Associated where you have to buy the adj hinge pin kit, alum hubs and steering knuckles just to name a few as it all comes on the team kit.

But truthfully take it out of the box in run.

The following were issues when the MP-9 first arrived but were all corrected long ago.
  1. Front upper arms - too week where hinge pin was and would pull out. They added more material fine now (don't go alum. as the other post said something else would be under stress).
  2. Rear hubs - same thing not enough material on the backside of the hub where the scrapers mount.
  3. Diff Block - On the rear block the front bearing would get hot and then cause the pinion gear to move and munch the rear diff. Same story not enough material. This and the hub were fixed long before most even had the car.

Those were really the only weak things on the car and they've all been addressed. All of which have been addressed in any kit you purchase.

If you get a standard kit you don't need the alum. rear hubs. For some odd reason I don't like them on the car and went back to plastic. Also if you get an SE kit you don't need the threaded big bores. Some like them I personally like the clips. I know it is dead accurate. I pretty much never change these unless I'm rebuilding the shocks and that will never happen 20 sec. before my heat.

there you have it hope it helps.
I have the TKI which has a different chassis from the TKI2..will i need to buy the new chassis?

Thanks!!

no... but if you switch to the TKI2 chassis, the TKI1 side guards won't fit.

Btw Mr. Paul i watch the video with Pavidis, Tebo and Cody and when they discussed the "Father yelling" i immediatly thought of my father yelling at me when i used to go to on road racers every once in a while and forgot to take with me the glow starter..!! Everyone was prepared with tons of practise and setups and i was going on the time of qualifyings ..hahah always late and with half the car..and unfortunatly no set ups..

TKI2 WC isn't available yet, but wondering if anyone knows where to find or has a parts list / manual for the new car? I can only assume that there will be more "B's and C's" added to the existing part numbers (ex - KYOIF428B=KYOIF428C ) Same story for the new front and rear shock towers too?

From looking at the picture of Tebo's buggy from "The Dirt 2011" it looks like he used a TKI1 chassis with the aluminum chassis braces. Noticed he also used the aluminum front C-Hubs.

The harden chassis is the TKI 1 and the SE, TKI2 anodized ones. You can use the TKI2 sideguard on the TKI 1 harden chassis but not vice-a-verse.
I'm running the TKI 1 chassis with TKI2 sideguards works for me. Correct me if Im wrong PK.

The new TKI2 side guards are molded to match the angle of the bent flange on the edge of the TKI2 chassis.

The bend along the sides is a different angle between a TKI and TKI2. This makes the TKI2 chassis more flexible. Losi did this by machining away the flange for the tuned flex chassis. Kyosho has chosen to do it in a more fundamental way. The consequence of this is the new side guard.

It would be feasible to do the Losi mod to a TKI chassis and still use the original side guards. This is assuming you have access to a mill or would be comfortable dremeling it.

Guess it depends on what country we're in coz the Kyosho.com (Japan english) site shows the WC as being released on 16th Feb but KyoshoAmerica.com has it coming out March 2011 but still saying its out of stock today (5th March). And Mr King said it won't be released in the US until April so who knows?

I've been trying to get hold of an instruction manual or even just a parts list for WC for about 3 weeks now but still no luck. Got a shop in Japan looking out for the WC parts/part numbers but they still haven't gotten back to me with any firm dates.

I've heard that the special alu parts for the TKI2 WC won't be available and the plastic parts will be running changes.

O ye, for got to mention that I've also heard from some people that the special WC parts will not be released as replacements/spare parts but I don't understand how that could work because what is a WC owner to do if they actually break a shock tower or bend front hinge-pin holder, etc? Hardly seems fair that they aren't able to replace parts that came with their car & I can't see Kyosho requiring owners to have to sign up or register with them just to be able to buy replacements or spares for 6 components. Would be a waste of time & resources for Kyosho & a royal pain for the WC owner coz they'd be waiting forever if they had to order bits direct fron Japan or something.

Kyosho's tease is worse than a hot babe in a bar - at least you know if you're gonna get some within an hour or 2 but this has been going on for 2 months (more?) since the WC was rumoured at the Pattaya Worlds.
