Guys, I am getting up to speed on the latest setups on the TKI(2) and was wondering about the forward battery mount location. How are guys mounting their batteries up front, is there a kit or are they improvising/devising their own riggings?

Thanks for the input!

Transplant4life, thank you! So it's just a piece of CF and a few radio tray posts screwed up through the mud guards? Hmmm, easy enough!

What about that radio tray, did they just cut it in half? I bought my TKI 2nd hand and there is no divider in the box is the reason I am asking!

Thanks again!

i asked this a week or so ago but never really got an answer. can the drive shaft pins on the end of the universals be changed out? i used to run xray and i have the hudy pin replacement tool but didnt know if the kyosho universal pins can be changed out like i could on the xrays. the person the other day just said "they last a long time and should need to be changed" but i got my tki 2nd hand and especially the center drive lines are starting to get pretty flat. so i was just wondering if i can change them out or should i just start looking online for some new ones.

The issue I had was finding the replacement pins. It doesn't appear that Kyosho makes them. It doesn't seem that folks replace these pins. The Kcar pins are roughly 3.98 mm so the Xray's are just a bit too big. If you find some that work let me know.

there are no replacement shaft pins in the universals. With the new cap universal swingshaft (IFW420) you can replace the swing shaft (IFW420-01).
