The TKI2 hubs are part# IFW414 and the 93mm universals are IFW404. The TKI2 also uses longer kingpin bolt/bushing kit which is IFW467 and the pistons used are IFW405-1.3 8 hole in the front and IFW405-1.4 8 hole in the rear. Hope that helps!

Default SE, TKI, TKI2?

Hello,

I am looking at potentially going with an MP9. Are there any performance benefits to buying the higher priced TKI or TKI2 or is the SE just as good on the track?

Thanks,

The reason the SE is much cheaper than the TKI or TKI2 is it does not come with rims or tires the velvet coated shocks and the hard aluminum chassi. they all can be "upgraded or downgraded to SE, TKI and TKI2" the tki2 has the new body, air filter, all the aluminum bling, treaded shocks (but not velvet coated).
they all are great cars, basically the same car with different options......

Hi guys, please let me clarify something. The SE has the same high quality 7075 aluminum chassis. The anodizing IS different, however the benefit of the green coating is marginal IMO. The brown anodizing is more cost effective than the green coating (hence cheaper), but in my opinion they wear off at almost the same rate. Of course you will see the scratches on the brown coating much more clearly than the light green coating on the TKI chassis, it's just more obvious to see the silver aluminum color behind the brown. Once the coating is scraped off, the two chassis wear the same (very well I might add)... I would say the TKI chassis is not much better than the SE chassis. I believe all the replacement chassis have the light green coating.

As far as the SE car goes, it also doesn't have the lightweight diff shafts (or out-drives as many people say). We raced an SE car out of the box and did very well with it. You could basically win any race with the SE car in box stock trim. JMO

I noticed the hard annodized parts wore better than the brown anodizing. Still the good aluminum but the hard anodizing is tougher.
