I'm still running the Alpha Abi 3 port. The model after that is the Alpha CRF Abi 3 port, or 7 port. New in the line up is the 5 port.. (which will be my new one).

Had the race this sunday, finished 5th in the Amain, very happy with the car and changes sofar. I didn't have time to practice on saterday, so no tracktime with the long shocks and the medium on the same track/tires.

But the car was very stable with the medium shocks and towers. Also my initial setup with the tapered 1.3x8 & 1.4x8 shocks (600 front and 450 rear) were spot on for this astroturf track with medium & low jumps. Definately worth trying. In two weeks we have our national series race on the same track, I'll try some other setups again.

The ebay-shocktowers held pretty well! Let's see how they hold up the next race, as stated before, the car was very stable so no big crashes for me this time

Are you talking about the e-Bay vendor that sells remarkably cheap aluminum parts out of British Columbia?

A lipo instead of nimh will lower the weight.

Try calipers, they work for me.

Thats quite on the heavy side, are you sure your scale is acurate?

Thanks Matthijs on the input

That's a difference of a least 70-85g at least on the reciever pack only...

Nimh is 120 grams, the life is 90.

The difference would be in the tires/rims most likely.

Also, the 808 body is much lighter and fits like a glove...

A 5pack 2700mah Nimh? Could you link me a pack that light? I guess you were looking at a 1700mah nimh pack.
