I hope they are, but the sheet from Kyosho and the press photos say regular. I guess the first guy who opens their new kit can tell us!

Upgraded Team Kyosho International version chassis.

Shaft drive 3-differential full-time 4WD chassis.

Chassis partially assembled by expert staff and checked individually by Yuichi Kanai.

Race settings can be fine tuned with adjustments to wheelbase, tread, roll center, caster angle, toe angle and camber.

Features 7075S-grade hard main chassis and hardened shock stays.

Features high heat dissipation brake disk and center diff case with increased capacity.

Mudguards on the rear suspension arms prevent dirt entering the drive shafts and wheels.

Resin front/rear toque rods provide flexible running performance.

Roll center can be adjusted with spacers on lower rear suspension arm.

Maintenance-friendly design.

Smaller front/rear diff unit, thinner cup joints and resin parts realize a lighter weight.

Fuel tank with finger-hook cap delivers stable fuel supply.

Stylish hex bolts hold firm throughout the chassis.

Includes 3 servo horn types for various R/C systems (for SANWA / KO / JR / FUTABA / HiTEC)

New low-height body design generates effective down force and realizes stable posture through the air as well as increasing maximum speed. Newly introduced oval-shaped air cleaner matches body design.

Are the shocks hard andodized too? Tebos shocks have different color than the tki2 pic. I hated that the bottom half of the anodizing on the shocks rubbed off so quickly

Kanai's actual personal race car has the hard anodized stuff, but the other pictures of the actual production car shows the regular darker coating.....The terms "Hard or Hardened" I think refer to the alloy not the anodizing. I hope I am wrong, but it doesn't look like they are coming hard anodized on the TKI2

Tebo had his shocks done up on his own as he didn't like clips and were velvet shocks that were threaded for him and were not production.

Thanks, I hope that it comes with harden but if not I know a few shops on ebay that sells them for a nice price. Tebo's posting the the shock he ran is something that his father made for him.

I thought that the hardend anodized with lighter that what Kanai has on his buggy.

It looks lke the one of the 2 kit comes with harden towers

S grade! means soft, not hard anodized, chassis, towers etc will not be hard anodized. Here you go right on kyoshos website.

http://www.kyosho.com/eng/fun/specia...al_data02.html

Also thougt I'd like to update some of you guys wanting to just upgrade your current mp9s. The rear offset aluminum hubs from the tki2 are available if414 and in stock along with, the longer front lower king pins and bushings if467, rear alum toe block ifw402, front upper arm holder alum ifw406, the hard rear hub pin that goes through the rear arm and hubs ifw415, also front springs blue if350-714. I know this cuz I ordered that stuff today along with some other stuff for customers. Kyosho has a lot of parts in stock and more to come on the 19th so stock up....maybe even some tki2's.......

Nop.. the m tower uses the front st-rr shocks if am not mistaken .. The shock shafts and the shock body of the shocks on the M tower is different.

If you buy the ftont st-rr shock that will do but they do not have the coating of the mp9 shock so it might look a bit awkard..

I am sure you can find the m shocks complete on ebay..

do not buy them from a shop because it will cost you about double the money..

YOU ARE BETTER OFF buying the TKI from A main. for the cheaper price and upgrade as you need it.

$7__ is a lot better than $9-- or $25 off so $875 from A main.

Things I would get are:

Front Shock Piston SP Type IFW405-138-1.3 $5

Rear Shock Piston SP Type IFW405-148-1.4 $5

Steering King Pin Long Type IF467 $5

Everything else is Candy!!

and you Really don't need these items.

Plus you get the HARD Towers and Chassis.

Sound about right?

As you see the TKI do cost more so Kyosho did cut cost. But did not pass it on to the People.

INFERNO MP9
TEAM KYOSHO INTERNATIONAL
Price (w tax) \ 123,900

INFERNO MP9
TKI 2 / TKI 2 SPEC A
31785 (Kit)/ / 31784 (SpecA)
\92,400 / /96,600

GET THE TKI GUYS!

Problem with older TKI's are the not updated hard plastics, updated bushings, front toe plate. I heard they came out with an updated TKI but unsure if it was a rumor or something on released in Japan etc. If it is the older style more likely you gonna spend like $50 in new plastics which isn't bad, and yes you get the hard anodizing. The TKI drives different than the SE I'm personally about 1-2 seconds faster a lap with the SE than the tki.
