I can also attest to that. The MP9 shell will look bent-out-of-shape if you force it on the MP777 chassis.

Also, if they were interchangeable Kyosho would not make two separate bodies for the electric infernos MP777e/7.5VE's and MP9e:

Here is Ryan Eckerts MP9, running W.E.D. paint, ! As you can see from the pic he is obviously saving the tires for later in the A main run at the Clash race, where he finished 4th!

any suggestion on shock springs?
yes, the rear toe-in is determined by the number on the bushing 2, 2.5, 3 degrees. I really like the stock black springs that come in the SE kit, but we also run the new light blue front, and green rear...

Any chance you can post the dimensions and weight for these orions? I'm assuming they are 4s (14.8v) and if so are they in 2x2s or 1x4s format?

I don't run the MP9, but I have painted A LOT of the bodies for them. Most I paint seem to prefer the JConcepts bodies over the Kyosho brand. Since the JC bodies are quite a bit thicker and last easily twice as long.
I have also painted some thicker Kysoho bodies, but I don't think they are readily available yet.

This is a stock MP9 body I recently painted for Team Driver Ryan Eckert.

This is a recent JConcepts body
