If you look at the Kyosho shock pistons one side is flat and the other side is rounded/tapered. Which way are most of you mounting the pistons taper pointing down or up?

Hi guys. Need some info on TKI3 front 91mm drive shafts IF482? Want to try them on an MBX7R, but need the measurement from the bearing flange to hub pin hole to see if they will work before ordering.

Your help will be appreciated.

Hey guy new to rc and new to the tki3. iv been reading through the pages on here but there's way to many. Can anyone explain or even better yet make a video of how to install the clutch and bell housing assembly onto a novarassi engine and also how to shim it correctly and how to mesh it to the spur gear that would be awesome. Also i was watching Tebo's video on how to shim the mp9 diff's and the pinon gear correctly. For some reason tho i had to shim it on the opposite side of the diff gear not have it "grind" and to not "feel the gears" inside the casing for both front and back is this normal?

Thanks Derrick

I've never used kit pistons, always used the kyosho white 1.3x8 flat pistons but recently switched to vrp 1.5x5. In the vrp pistons forum someone has tested flat vs taper with a shock dyno and if i'm correct says there not much difference.

There's tons of videos on you tube on installing the flywheel clutch shoes and shimming the clutch bell, it's really very simple.

The manual shows flat side up, which is how I've always ran the 1.3x8 white pistons. Tried them both ways, and I couldn't tell any difference.

they should spin freely and take care to have a small gap and you`ll be fine

I run my gear mesh pretty tight on the mp9 with the kit motor mount just a slight tick of movement, with the one piece motor mount not so tight. The chassis flex on this car causes the mesh to change on hard landings and can chip teeth off the spur gear, with the one piece motor mount the chassis doesn't flex as much so the mesh stays tight but it feels like you lose traction because the loss of chassis flex.
