Inferno MP9 thread

Hello, I've been racing 1/10 scale for years, just picked up a MP9 ready set, to check out 1/8 scale nitro. I'm hooked!!! I was wondering what upgrades i should do first. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I already swapped the steering servo 7955 and ditched the radio.
Has anyone noticed the orange o-rings in their diffs swelling up and pressurizing the out drive shaft? I was rebuilding my front diff and noticed that with the crown gear off and internal gears and fluid out, the out drive in the cup seemed stiff to rotate. The o-ring looked swollen and appeared to be the cause of this.
Has any one got a kyosho mp9 tki3 for sale

I just picked one up as well. I spent the weekend attempting to get it dialed in. I have read most of this thread......it's a great thread you should jump back a few hundred pages and just read. So far.....I have tried many things...I threw Cody King's 2014 PNB setup on it first.....didn't go so well. I ended up with a close variation of Cody Kings 2010 worlds setup on it in the end. In reading this thread every one seems to point towards Cody King's 2010 setup as a good starting point and I have to say by far it made my car handle the best. With that setup the goes were I point it rather than were it wants to go. As far as upgrades go, first I would ditch the tires and get a decent set with inserts. Next the front shock tower is weak needs to go....already bent mine. Also ditch the stock shock pistons and go with the 1.3x8 flat top pistons. Then it's kinda up to you.....the differentials are weaker than the TKi3's having only one set of bevel gears versus two......also the stock diff fluid is 5/5/5.....allot of people around here recommend 5/5/3. I am going to throw a 48 tooth spur on, lighter clutch springs, vented engine mounts, rebuilding the diffs with both sets of bevel gears, new diff fluid (5/5/3), new shock towers front/rear. Ohh and I have heard the rear hubs being that they are plastic will wear out quick as well. Hope this helps! I am very new to all of this so My advice may not be the greatest but it has worked for me.
With all the upgrading you are doing you would have been better off buying a Tki3. I know $800 plus is steep but about time you are done spending on upgrades for your ready set, you'd spend that much and you're still not going to have a tki3. Just my 2 cents

Having a few problems getting the rebound right on my new build TKI3. I'm running the option diaphragms and pistons people recommend to use. I hear 40% rebound is in order - ?
What's the trick for setting the rebound with these shocks, I can't leave the diaphragm on the top then pull the shaft down a bit to pressurise the shock due to the cap design, so I've tried just putting the shaft at 40% then putting on the cap using the bleed. Doesn't seem to work either. Suggestions?
40% front and rear a good starting point?
