The only MP9 which has ever been supplied with a HA chassis from the box was the original MP9 TKI. All other MP9 variations over the years have come with the dark brown anodized chassis. Absolutely no difference besides the anodic layer, the chassis themselves are identical.

Here is what they look like installed:

Lastly, I take an exacto knife and cut off the sharp corner in the shock end that tends to cut the shock boots. Just take a little off so there isn't a sharp corner, but enough to be able to seat the shock cup.

Get some great shock building tips here:

Wow that does look like OEM boots or should be! Lol! I just ordered a set of MBX7 rear boots 4=$5 so the balloons are a great deal and if the Mugen boots don't fit properly I'll get some balloons. I think they will fit though cause I had a old MBX6 boot in my pile o parts drawer it fit and the shocks are the same as the 7 but shorter shaft/body. I had a set on my Mugen for 3 gallons that's is one of the only things I miss cause they are small and seal great on the shaft not the end no matter how far they get pushed up the shaft they come down with next compression. Anyway I see there is many good options for the boots and I'll keep buying until I find the one. Thanks Again!

Aarons statement is 100% correct, the chassis are exactly the same bar the anno.

And you are correct too, the hard anno chassis does have different flex.

Default Rear Hub Spacers

Does anyone know if the rear hub spacers can be brought separately, or are they only part of the Rear Hub parts kit when you buy it?. Since these wear out I would hope that they can be purchased without having to buy a set of rear hubs. Any part numbers known are appreciated. Thanks.

Are you referring to the 4 small black plastic inserts for the alloy rear hub carriers? If so, they are IFW414-01 and can definitely be purchased on their own as a replacement part, without having to buy a new set of rear carriers.

For guys that are running the stock kyosho clutch, what setup do you use? Is the one that comes with the A spec good for medium to medium-low bite?

I think he's referring to the spacers used to adjust wheel base length. And those aren't sold separate! Think they are attached to the plastic rear hub tree.

Anyone know if the universal pins that go into the outdrives are replaceable? My center universals are in good shape but the end pins are getting pretty flat. Surprisingly, the outdrives aren't that bad. Thanks.
