Thinking of trying these for some added stability... Is there any downside to making the car wider?

I've heard it can help calm the buggy down if you have the "kit" setup on it. The RR setup is different. I'm sure there is a noticeable difference. But will it be what you want. The buggy still fits with-in the legal limits of 1/8 buggy width with the offset hexes on.
The offset hexes were designed for the truggy to be able to use 0 offset wheels.

Awesome... think I'll give them a try. The 8ight seems to need just a little help in that department because it's weight is SO centered. Conventional buggys don't really have that problem because there weight is spread out.

I love them......
FYI - What Losi labels as +1 are actually 2mm wider per side. I ran these for a while and it really calmed the car down and took the edgyness out of it. Now I'm running Xray 1mm hubs in the front and the Losi hubs in the rear. This gives a little more steering while maintaining the stability I prefer.
Air - I think you were discussing the 1/2 inch offset hubs.
Take care,
