Hey Everyone,
Got my buggy and fuel today around 12. The car goes together really really well. Everything fits tight and smooth. One very minor issue, the rear bulkhead plastic was too small for the rear wing mount. So I just drilled out the size I needed and that was that. Other than that small detail this car is put together brilliantly.

I did modify the braking system I think you will like it. I will show you at the Colonels Classic. I have never ran the car before, so the brakes could have been just fine, but here is what I did:
Only use the metal pads and rotors. The plastic piece that the rotor fits into,(on the bottom of the rotor) Stock it is like a U that the rotor fits in, I cut off the U on both sides closest to the mount. So the rotor fits flush with the plastic and you have much better mesh, and it allows you to tighten up the screws to a much higher tolerance.
I will try and take some pics, I know its hard to describe on here. Will let you know how it performs after this weekend.

Samos - what piece on the wing was wrong? I dont follow ya
Also on the brake guides, just leave them off... They just create drag no matter how you adust the brakes.... also running metal-metal on the brakes could cause a glitch and will spread metal shavings all over your car... use the option brake discs with metal pads.

Hey everyone how are you? I got my fuel thursday and my buggy monday.Everything went together great and am pumped to run it sat..I have one question, on the bib bore shocks are you building them with full rebound , half ,quarter.please let me know and have a merry christmas. thanks

Rob,i've been building mine with no rebound.But i'm not sure thats the way to go.I will be trying 1/4,1/2,3/4 to full rebound this weekend..

is there a trick to getting the clutch shoes on? I broke one of the graphite shoes trying to put preload on the spring.
Is there a tool you can use? or another method?
I basically pushed it on while tensioning the spring with a screwdriver (felt very dangerous)

I use the mip clutch tool..I have not had any problems getting the shoes on..Losi also makes a good clutch tool...

Tony- Its actually the rear diff casing, it is where the rear wing mount screws into the rear diff housing, the holes were too small so the screws wouldn't go in. Very easy and simple fix though.
How would I get the updated discs? Do you have a part number? I agree about the metal on metal so I do need the updated discs.

when people talk about rebound in the shocks, what do they mean. i have been building the shocks the same way for years, but not sure how to classify my "rebound"
i fill the shock body with oil with the piston in the bottom of the body. compress a few times, with the shock all the way down, i screw the cap until it's tight, then compress the shock with some oil coming out, then finish tightening the cap.

Rebound is the amount that the shock shafts comes back out after it has been compressed all the way up...You can set the amount of rebound in the shock by the way you build them,It just depends on where you set the shaft in the body before you tighten down the shock cap..
