I was at the Great Lakes RC Pro Series this last weekend and there were 3 SX8's and they all looked great.

Here's a couple I got yesterday. The lighting wasn't very good, as dusk was setting in so these aren't my best shots...

Tony, upon a quick inspection, that looks to be very close to what I am currently running. The two things I do see different...I'm running 5/5/800, the rear being a combination of 1000/500. And I ran 45 Losi/Stock spring up front, 30 AE/Kyosho Yellow/Green springs in the rear.

I'd say over the 3 days we were up there my car was freakin dialed..... I spent a total of 4mins off the track and on pit lane getting some sort of switch repair or tire swap...... and with 40 sec lap times I should have had 1 lap on second place with the win, the car was freakin planted, jumping everything still......

I messed with my phone card and i should be able to get the track pics off it tonight...... here's some pics of the track/cars etc before it got blown out

I have actually found the oil conversion to be opposite of that. ie. when duplicating someone else's setups that call for AE oil I have actually had to go down a weight with Losi oil to have the same result.

This resource is from www.TWF8.WS, further down that page is a couple of charts that calibrate Losi, AE, and Trinity silicones from the "WT" standard to "cps" standard. Those charts seem to me to be more accurate and help to relate the 3 brands viscosities to each other.

Thanks Joe, the car felt good that day. I wish I could say the same for this weekend.

I raced the Werks Nitro Challenge and it was one issue after another with my motor and electronics, for what little time I did have on the car at this track, it felt good. Hopefully this weekend is better, off to the Norcal Champs at Antioch, CA this weekend.

i haven't tried using the stock clutch shoes. i put in some aluminum ones in with 1.1 springs. i believe the stock clutch shoes would wear down pretty quick considering their compound.
