Nik- I agree with you. (on the HB side that is; I have no comments regarding other companies' equipment other than to say both the XRAY and 8 are capable cars) I must stress; however, that this is in fact a brand new design. The geometry is all new, the weight is way down, the weight is centered (admittedly something that Losi did first...but it's the best way), we are using our new big bore shocks, along with a slew of other changes.
I don't mean that as a negative response to your post, it's just that the Hot Bodies of Old regurgetated the same design over and over again whereas the new Hot Bodies has pur a lot of effort into producing a totally new design with the HB D8.

Felles- Buggy is oh so AWESOME.
The kewlest things about this new buggy is that it comes in kit form which is awesome and there is no purple!!! Woohoo

Also I saw on the HB website that the new car in full race trim is 7.75lbs. Which is WAY lighter then the current HB Evo.
Oh so EXCITED I almost pee'd on myself.
Is it time yet????

Monster- We haven't tried the car here in the U.S. just yet. Our engineer is running it with the team in Japan and we will begin US testing next week to prepare for the nationals.
And I'm excited that you're excited.
