THe TTR 2035 is supposed to be good I heard. Its less than a 2050 or 2060. The complete 2060 set is good and can be found for a good price if you look carefully.

The OS2050 is usually best and gives the best fuel efficiency but the JP3 is a great pipe on the 'spec. You should have great performance with it.

Your JP3 is a great pipe for the Spec, another would be OS 2050.

IMO these are the top two pipes for that motor.

I agree 100% that is the best pipe... i'm running it on my brand new v-spec and it has tons of power and it's not even 100% yet... i'll be selling my jp-3 for money to get another TTR pipe for the other engine...

the 2060 pipe is THE pipe for the v-spec....have ran it on all of mine and absolutely love it...

It really just depends on what you want.

JP3 = a lot of bottom with good mid and top

JP4 = Less bottom, a very abrupt mid, and similar top

2050 = Great bottom and all the way up to a good top end, most efficient

2060 = a little smoother bottom, strong mid, and a ton of top

I hope that helps.

Do a search on this there is a thead started about every month talking about pipes for the vspec.

But the 3 most used pipes for the vspec are

OS 2050 = Very smooth mid range pipe it does not have the mid range hit of the JP-3, But it carrys the power band out farther in the revs. This is an very good all around pipe for the vspec. Great fuel mileage.

OS 2060 = Good top end pipe gread for big high speed tracks or dusty loose or low traction conditions. Great fuel mileage.

JP-3 = strong midrange with a good hard hit right when it comes on power. This pipe will use the most fuel out of the 3

I have all 3 pipes and have used them on stock vspec's, EB Mods and my speed. and they all have about the same effect.
The speed has the best top with the OS2060 it revs to the moon.
The stocker and ebmods run best with the OS 2050

This is all in my opinion good luck

I will be running the EB Mods pipe next weekend. I will let you know how it works.
People say it is amazing.

thanks for your replies i also have hong nor 053 and 086 pipe
any thoughts on this shall i stick with the os pipe?

GenReaper 04-28-2008 03:16 AM

The OS 2050 would be the go.
I run a 053 on my OS V-Spec.
Motor is slightly modified but i get nearly 9 mins on a tank in my buggy and with 1.1mm clutch springs and alloy Mugen shoes and 13tooth bell it goes pretty hard IMO.

Im pretty happy with this pipe combo, enough that i probably wouldnt swap it for anything but an 2050

the MSR 1005 makes the most torque and the most HP on a V-Spec..people underestimate this pipe, but in reality its the king pipe for these motors...

What about the run time?

Garrison 04-28-2008 03:25 PM

i just got the speed and i'm trying the jp4 ive only got like a half gallon on it but it rips.. ive been getting about 6 1/2 min with 220 temps... has the most wild idle and can hear it all the way through the in feild... next week ill put in the 7 mm insert and get some temps a little higher... and will let you know about run time
