I was dicing with my buddy that just got the RC8 and we came off of a triple together and he accidentally gave it throttle instead of brake, his car went nose up and came straight down on my cooling head. Cracked 2 fins off. Anyway, I got my new cooling head today, (gotta love how cheap parts are for Go's) and its smaller than the stock.

Is that going to effect cooling at all?

If it's smaller it will have less surface area to dissipate the heat.

Does it have the same number of fins as the old one? That would make a positive/negative difference depending on the number.

buy the new one from?

Same number of fins, same color, just smaller in circumference. It must just be an updated design from Go. I order the engine and head from Amain.

Raced with the new head today. Didn't effect cooling at all.
