Yes I have seen people do this to their tank. Make sure you drill a hole smaller than the fuel tubing you wish to insert. It's also a good idea to seal around the tubing with sealant that is fuel resistant.

If this is just for a holder, and you want to use a screw to hold it on I wouldn't suggest putting a hole in your tank, you might loose the compression it needsto allow the fuel to be pushed to the engine!

Kinda depends where you plan to drill the hole. In the vertical splash-guard, not a problem. If you want to put the holder(s) on the actual reservoir portion, you'd be better off using CA glue, no holes.

I think you would be better off using CA glue or epoxy. I wouldn't drill any hole in a fuel tank. Just my $.02

Agreed, just scuff up the tank a little and use CA glue. Worked great for me.

I'm sorry I misread i thought you ment for a fuel pick up. Yes as others have said CA glue will work just fine. Sorry about leading you the wrong way. You can put holes in tanks as long as you seal them with fuel resistant sealant. I would go the CA route tho. You can also use some 3m clear double sided tape. The stuff is sticky as as anything, and won't stop the tank from flexing like a hard spot of CA.
