There's a kit that Traxxas sells that allows you to use the rear-exhaust/slide-carb 2.5 and 3.3 engines in a nitro sport or older nitro rustler. It's $22.00ish at Amain. With that kit you can bolt the 3.3 right in. There are similar kits for the older TRX.15 powered Tmaxx, Nitro Stampede, and Nitro 4-Tech.

You'll either need the pull start version of the 3.3, or buy a shaft start backplate (the OFNA and Tiger Drive units are cheap on e-bay) for it (go shaft start) as the ez-start crap from the .15TRX won't work on a 2.5 or 3.3.

Edit:Here's link to the conversion kit on the Traxxas site, as well as a link to the kit on the Amain website:

This is a link to instructions for upgrading your Nitro Sport so it handles and turns better (remember that a 2.5 or 3.3 will make it MUCH faster):

Dangit, when did all my favorite cars, trucks, airplanes, and engines become "vintage"???
