Looks like an interesting chassis; parts quality looks top-notch. Any word on how it performs vis-a-vis the competition?
P.S: I'm a tad envious of those beautiful shocks. |
you'd think they wouldve spec'd helical cut gears....
overall I like it. Except the price is a bit of a shocker  |
Looks like another Magic M1B. not that it looks the same, but the suspension is'nt up to par on tracks with big jumps. Are you supposed to go racing with the hopes of small European jumps, and have to pack your stuff up when you notice the jumps are too much for this car to handle?
why do you think the current trend is big bore shocks on most of the top cars? Because they need to be able to handle the larger jumps, and rough track conditions. This must be an indoor rolling hills type of car! The only thing I like is the clutch, and what's up with the screws, make up your mind, phillips head of hex head? Sorry about being so Rough with my comments, I just don't see the practicality of such a radical design. |

That clutch setup looks pretty unique. I'm assuming that the shoes slide out like the Fironi rather than swinging out? |
Agreed on the clutch. I also like the brake linkage. Simple yet easy to adjust. You can set your basic "grab" and then adjust bias just like you would a turnbuckle. It looks like it also keeps the linkage from hitting the fuel tank or air filter support at full throttle.

correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't front wings NOT legal in EFRA and ROAR regulations?
I guess Piktor are trying to rewrite the rules with this thing.... |
They definatly didn't have state side racing in mind. that's for sure. I don't want to race at a track that breaks for tea time.

nice looking car, surprised at the square cut gears i find the wood screws to be hideous though. what were they thinking with those!
|
I'm curious as to what caused them to bring this car out of the wood work... this car is at least 4 years old.. its orig. designer left went to another company (Ishima) and designed a similar car (updated it) and that car is 3+yrs old.. cool design but its old and I'm sure heavier then current cars now.. and nothing against the car or company but how are parts support here in the US…?
