Scrub brush and simple green, don't forget to clean the sink when you're done!

I just use a small piece of vinyl electric tape to cover the air hole inside the wheel to keep the foams dry, then hold them under the faucet while I scrub away the dirt with one of these Grout Scrub Brush

I always see people washing tyres thuroughly with water and wonder why they would want wet foam... wet foam is heavy and will break down quickly when it's being hammered round a track.

At a race I tend to leave the wheels on the car and hold the air compressor at an angle to spin the wheels and blow the dirt off. If no compressor then a stiff brush, no prizes for starting the next heat with super black tyres!
