I ran the 5 x 12 and 13 x 19 bearings this past weekend and the bearings are great quality. Their service is awesome as well. The good thing is they have the bearings in stock!!!

Make sure you back the 3 screws that hold the pinion gear out 1/4-1/2 a turn each to keep stress of these bearings!

The Supplementary Sheet said 1/12 a turn each? Like 1hr each. Do we need to loosen them that much? Like 3 to 6hrs?

Rocco,
Thanks so much for sending those small parts (steering servo mounts) I got them last Friday and was able to race on Sunday. I really appreciate it.

I am in the middle of a total rebuild of my 808. I cleaned the bearings inside the gear boxes, then instead of using light oil on the bearings for the Pinion gear, I used some real heavy 800 degree marine bearing greas and left all four seals off the bearings. I don't think the three screws have to be real loose, just tighten them down then back them off a little, seems to be working for me. I have 3 gallons on my car and it is still like new.

I did replace two center dogbone pins. Seems to be only thing that is wearing on the car

Default ACE Servo for Throttle Brake

Does anybody have any photos of there throttle setup with ACE 1015 servo as i cannot get mine right. The servo is quite tall and is about 1mm off the chassis (which i think is to close anyway) using the rubbers but the brake linkages are not parrallel to the servo horn and the connections to the brake cams.

when i try and set it it binds the brake cam arms and is sticking, the manual is no good either as it shows the arms set in different holes but i have tried all and nothing seems to work. The arms are perfect when they rest on top of the brake cams so it as if the servo is 2-3 mm to high but i can't lower it.

The photos i took haven't come out but i will try and get a better camera if needed

Cheers

Lunie

The 808 mount is specific to the 808. The rest of the XB8/XT8 series use the same mount(s), either the two piece (stock) or the one piece mount (w/ engine specific rails).

Ok managed to do it i have left the horn off but you can see from the photo that the servo gear is a lot higher than the lower front brake rod. When i try and connec the assy it binds up and sticks.
