If you mean the Avidrc brake disks, you can get them at avidrc.com. Just buy the ones for the xb8 etc and they will fit the 808. Hope that helps!

Awesome! I will get those ordered since I read that they are better than the stock 808 brakes.

Also, I am looking to starter boxes and was wondering if this one would work:

Was gonna get the following glow plug igniter and needed to know if it would work with the plug that comes with the OS V Spec:

Thanks everyone!

Default Day 1

I ran my 808 the first time today after running a xb8tq since 2005. I'm impressed as usual with Xray built quality!! I was very impressed with the initial steering it has, seemed like I was always fighting a push with the TQ. The drivetrain is light, quick and feels ultra efficient. The Chassis reacts predictably to set up changes. My driving style had to change from being aggressive on the wheel and throwing the buggy around to be smoother on the wheel and throttle and let the chassis work. After a couple tanks to set up the trims I was comfortable and confident with the buggy!!
I did use Losi shock boots with success also...I though they would just fall off the lower shock nut but they worked well.
I ran about 5 tanks this morning the 1 qualifier before we got rained out today. I can't wait to get back to the track.
Anyone wanting a high quality buggy, buy one of these and you'll know what I mean.

I have used this one for a few years....Just get a gell cell battery or lipo. A rechargable igniter is my preference over the banana wires.

Big race report for myself and other 808 drivers.

RC pro series North division Evansdale Iowa. I entered intermediate 1/8th buggy and had spectacular results!!

I TQ'd the first round with my 808, and then a guy from my home track TQ'd the second round with his 808. by the end of qualifying, I was 5th over all in the A main, in a field of about 40 Buggies. Dispite my losi eclipse tires ungluing, My fault. I forgot to wipe down one side of the rim before I glued it, every other tire was fine, then my throttle linkage wore a hole in my fuel line, and caused me to flame out. But after my first flame out, I drove it like I was on a mission, and went from 10th, to 2nd. Then I flamed on my next pit stop, and fought back untill I flamed on my last pit, and I gave up.

I still ended up 6th over all. Not bad for a disasterous A main. Not the cars fault, just little things that come into play after a 30 minute main. I'll fill out a set up sheet for what I was running and post it.

We have some on the hop ups in stock. I know we have the diff plate, engine mounting blocks and several roll bars. The susp. holders, front top plate and alum sterering rack have come and gone.
We also have Avid brakes and clutch bell bearing in stock.

Not sure why the engine mount is now $82 vs. $62 for the previous version?

IMO, that is really the only necessary item from that list.

Something i dont like about the car, might be just mine and my setup (stock set) is that it feels way to rear wheel drive, almost alway on a power slide. I bet i put the rear diff in the front and vice versa...

The track we are on is hardpacked and dusty as hell, i was using proline bowties, going to try crimefighters on thursday.
Copy this to the 'T' and you should be good.

my guess is the hardcoat + additional logo laser etching....though the original was anodized + post anodize machine work...should be "comparable", not 20$ more though. especially since its in-house.

I wonder how many aluminum c-hubs they will sell ...i'm guessing six...."is six taken?"..lol
