Hi aussis1129 I posted about this a while back..the dust cover needs a lot of crank protruding beyond the clutch bell to spin freely..at least 1mm..I usually run 2 x 0.5mm shims behind the flywheel but had to remove both for it to work..

Hi Michael, I had a little struggle with the shimming too. Got it sorted after 20 min or so. Ran the cover for a few meetings and it seemed to work ok. The outer bearing didn't get as dust clogged as usual for sure.

Ahh, not trying to be funny, but you are running the V2 bell with the lip for the dust cover eh ? I'm sure you are, but I just thought I would ask anyway ......

Not sure about the punisher on the 11 spec, but I know people run the bulldog for the mbx6 and d8 on there 10 specs, so I would think the punisher for one of those brands would work ok.Also I think I read somewere that the d8 was the better fitting of the two. good luck

hey mate I think so thats the 16t that came with the 2011 car it protrudes out abit not like the other bells so i take it is the v2. I will spend some time on it today. thanks!

Yep, thatīs the V2 bell. I found I actually needed less shims rather than more shims because of the protruding section on the dust cover. It sort of acts like a crank extension.

Guys,

Any updates on XB808 2011 conversion kit? Is Xray going to have this conversion kit out commercially in a very near future?

Cheers

Feeling a bit nostalgic, I went through the first 10+ pages (for the nth times!)) of this thread which goes all the way back to 2008, I wonder what happened to all those haters?

I would only assume so since there is a 2010 conversion kit, but who knows.

I had a punisher on my 2010 spec and i had to heat the sides up a lil with the body on to make it conform to the vehicle.

what is any body using for a battery in the 2010 808. I want to use life batts but am using savox servos. and they are power hungry.[1257x2] I have 2 lipo's one is 2100mah other is 1200 that barely lasts 20 min. and is very unreliable.

how long have you had the pro-tec? Thats one I use. It barely fits the box and the outer cover is wearing off.
